We build ministry through loving people genuinely. We build people through restoring their hope and faith in God. We restore families through restored individuals. And, communities are built through people who believe in themselves, GOD and others.”

Pastor Joel

Pastor Joel is passionate about ministry and helping individuals grow their relationship with God. “Genuine Love and Inspiring Hope” are the building blocks for the ministry of Open Door Fellowship.

“We build ministry through loving people genuinely. We build people through restoring their hope and faith in God. We restore families through restored individuals. And, communities are built through people who believe in themselves, GOD and others.”

Pastor Joel has served in the local church for over twenty-five years.  He has helped many great church leaders, local and international, build, establish and oversee church ministry.  Pastor Joel is an Ordained Elder in the Lord’s Church and is consecrated to the office of Overseer where he has served for over ten years. Pastor Joel is anointed to build the Body of Christ.  His apostolic anointing along with his love and care for people have brought him to a new paradigm of church structure.

The vision that God gave to Pastor Joel for Open Door Fellowship (ODF) is to establish a ministry purposed to impact and change people, families, and communities through effective and practical teaching of Biblical truth and fundamental application. ODF is not just another church experience, but rather a catalyst to facilitate change, renewal, restoration and hope in the lives of individuals, families and communities that do not know Christ as Lord and Savior.

Love is the key. At Open Door Fellowship everyone is welcomed! God has instructed us to establish Open Door Fellowship (ODF) as a ministry that conveys the scripture pertaining to the Great Commission of the New Testament Church (Matt: 28: 18-20).

Pastor Joel is also a wise and prudent business man. He is the CEO and General Manager of The Guardian Corporation. As a church ministry leader, he has served in different roles and capacities to facilitate the business operations of various church ministries including Chief Operating Office.  Joel currently serves on several Boards including The Potter’s Foundation and on several Advisory Committees. He also serves as consultant to several businesses, helping to assist in financial and organizational matters.

Joel is married to Freda Anderson who serves with him in ministry. They have two daughters, Jordan and Morgan who reside with them in Owings Mills, MD.
